Female Sexual Dysfunction: A Case Study of Disease Mongering and Activist Resistance
The creation and promotion of “female sexual dysfunction” (FSD) is a textbook case of disease mongering by the pharmaceutical industry and other agents of medicalization. The "New View Campaign" (newviewcampaign.org) was convened in 2000 to challenge this exploitation of women's sexual emancipation.

The New View Campaign published its Manifesto in 2000 to challenge and offer an alternative to the prevailing medical model of women's sexual problems.
